Hi, my name is Cassie and my dad, Carl recently passed away from Lewy body dementia. He was diagnosed in 2020, where he lived with me for a short time. This proved to be difficult as I have 5 children and couldn't be the full time caretaker he needed. So my sister and I made the difficult decision to move him into an assisted living facility. The unfortunate part of doing this, is that the cost of this kind of care took his entire retirement fund. Though he did receive social security, it wasn't enough to cover everything. So I opened a credit card to help pay for the care he needed, where I currently have 8 grand left to pay off. This doesn't even include the cost of his wishes to be cremated, which was not prearranged or paid for as we had hoped. If you are able to make any donation of any kind, we would truly appreciate it. My dad deserves to be laid to rest as he wished and I hope to be able to give that to him. Thank you.
