Carl and Will, having dedicated their lives to helping services and ministries, moved to Mexico in August 2020 with a goal to build a like-minded community of support, safety, freedom and compassion. It was an exciting time and one of great hope.
Arriving, they were fit, strong... pictures of health. They were gainfully employed as property managers, ready and able to build a dream for many more to follow and enjoy.
Then in late January 2020, something happened. Carl woke one night with nagging leg pain. After weeks, nothing would ease the pain and he was soon unable to walk. No tests found any cause.
He went through a detox program in case of some unexplained heavy metal poisoning. He saw a holistic Dr daily for a month and tried physical therapy multiple time’s a week. Meanwhile, remaining on a whole- food, plant- based diet, the pain became unbearable. He was then prescribed pain medications to even be able to sleep. With the inclusion of traditional acupuncture, and therapy with Allie Litterer, an Integrative Healer, by May, he was walking again, but started losing his eyesight, believed to be caused by earlier improper treatments. In fact, one specialist declared malpractice.
He was forced to resign his job because his eyesight was too poor and also because he’d been unable to work as efficiently as usual in the months prior, due to the severity of pain.
At that point, all treatments and therapies had cost them in excess of $15,000.
A few weeks later, Will, working for the same company, was also forced to resign, as Carl’s daily care needs were too much for the employer to accept.
By July, Carl was blind in his left eye and remains so. His right eye reduced to 5%. Since then, with natural care, further adapted nutrition, red light, color/audio and other natural therapies, and no medications or additional drs, only the support of Allie, he has recovered right eyesight to about 70%. This was enough to allow him to return to basic function. He soon began training again, though long walks remain problematic. He has also been learning to write again with one eye and is working to return to lifestyle coaching.
Then, in October, a hurricane struck Mazatlan and caused severe damage to the water supply system. For nearly two months, they struggled through periods of no water or very contaminated, yellow and brown water. Though they drank filtered water, showering still had to be done using the city water.
That’s when Will developed a sudden and severe eye infection in his right eye. It was diagnosed as being water-borne. Not responding to any treatment, natural or medical, his left eye became involved a few weeks later. After seeing three ophthalmologists, and having been treated for a possible and very common parasite infection, they sent him to Guadalajara to see a specialist in fear they he was losing his eyesight.
They took 9 vials of blood, performed angiograms and ultra sounds. They still await the test results. The doctors believe that there is either a latent infection that has been triggered from as far back as 30 years ago, or a recent environmental infection, likely water-borne.
After three days, following the Dr’s protocol, Will became violently ill. Stranded in Guadalajara with a driver too sick with bronchitis to get them home, he called Carl and begged for an escape.
Able to get him home, Carl and Allie Litterer are working intently on his recovery and awaiting test results that hopefully will reveal the root cause.
Eye surgery is now being suggested, to remove the vitreous from Will’s eyes, as this is the color and thickness of milk, thus rendering him nearly blind.
Currently, with a rapid and severe intensification of full-body symptoms, which include bleeding, fainting, rashes, rapid weight loss and a laundry list more, Will is at home recovering from toxicity.
Again, it is believed, by Allie and others, that there has been medical malpractice involved, as in the case of Carl.
Additionally, there are some highly suspected environmental contributions.
Simply, this has been a devastating year.
They are now unemployed, have spent well over $25,000 and are facing much more to come. And they are without the resources to meet their needs.
They have been advised to relocate for better environmental health, and better access to services and supplies for healing. This, of course, compounds the financial burden.
Will is scheduled for a final approval job interview, but now lacks the eyesight to perform the job. That’s another financial blow.
They recently surrendered their car to the bank, and they have sharply reduced all other costs, while their savings and investments have been nearly wiped out. Bills are now zgoing unpaid in order to pay for necessary care, supplements, therapies and treatments.
They, as always, work hard to help, inspire and empower everyone around them. And they continue to do so in the midst of this crisis. Through much study, research and prayer, they have a profound vision for helping others find freedom and abundance in their lives through a new and innovative lifestyle program. They truly desire to help as many others as possible through their own training, experiences and journeys and they believe that this troubling experience will also enhance that vision. They just need to get over the hump and be able to gain healing and restoration of their eyesight in order to focus and find their own abundance again.
But they need help now themselves.
They are working diligently with a health-care team empowered by Allie to get to the other side and back in their full power and purpose.
Funds will be used for any necessary treatments, procedures, relocation, unpaid bills and basic necessities to sustain health and well-being.
Any message and gifts of support will mean the world to them both.
