I am SO excited to have another opportunity to compete at the Sanctionals level this November at the Filthy150 in Ireland. The Filthy150 is the first sanctioned event of the 2020 CrossFit Games Season, with the 1st place female and male earning an invitation to the CrossFit Games next summer.
The Filthy150 will be the most competitive event I have ever participated in. Top athletes and previous CrossFit Games champions including Sam Briggs, Kristen Holte, Dan Bailey, and James Newbury have already confirmed their invitations to compete with more top athletes sure to follow. It is an absolute honor to have the opportunity to share the competition floor with these incredible athletes and I am so proud to have earned an invitation to join them. I am beyond excited for the experience and can't wait to leave it all out there on the floor!!!
It is unfortunately quite expensive to compete at this level. In this sport, the athlete is 100% responsible for all costs of international travel, not to mention the cost of additional training for the events. I appreciate any support you are able to offer to make it possible for me and my coach to participate and represent our communities on this stage. Please only donate what you feel absolutely GREAT about!
I'll be posting a lot more updates this time to share more with you about my preparation and some tips I pick up along the way. Follow me on Instagram @carissamueller and look out for raffles, Filthy150 sweatshirts, tip videos, weekly training updates, sponsor announcements and more. I am open to suggestions for content you'd like to see and where you'd like to see it so if you have 'em, send 'em along!
THANK YOU all so much! And get excited. It's going to be epic!!
