Caris Family Tragedy Fund
Justen Caris joined the United States Marine Corps in 2009, and served with the 2D Combat Engineer Battalion in Camp Lejeune, NC. He deployed to Afghanistan on two occasions, where he saw extensive combat. Justen was a Combat Engineer, and selflessly sacrificed his saftey while providing counter-Improvised Explosive Device operations. Justen showed exceptional courage in the face of absolute danger, and saved the lives of countless Marines.
After his enlistment ended, Justen returned home to Pemberville, Ohio, in 2013, where he worked for the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure commission. Justen enjoyed fishing, hunting, driving tractors, drinking beers with his friends, and spending time with his daughter.
Unfortunately, Justen lost his battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and passed away on September 23.
He leaves behind a loving family, and a six year old daughter named Ellie.
Your donations will go towards Justen's daughter, Ellie, who will unfortunately grow up without her father. The Caris family plans on holding whatever we raise in an account belonging to Justin's brother, Noah Caris, and they will give it to Ellie when she is older.
Thank you in advance. These are trying times for Justen's family, and it is a time where we can come together and support them in this great time of need. Every little bit counts, and know that it is sincerely appreciated.
Semper Fidelis,
Justen's brothers in arms
