I am a 37 year old mother of two diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer (CRC) in December 2016.  I have exhausted my chemotherapy options and have moved onto clinical trials.  During this time I also submitted my cat scan images for review to a doctor in Germany who performs a YAG laser surgery. This surgery is unique because unlike the laser options available in the United States this laser is more precise and it can remove more metastasis while sparring surrounding tissue.  The dr. Reviewed my scans and thinks I would be a candidate to receive this treatment. I would have to travel to Germany and have my right upper lung lobe removed (lobectomy) along with laser surgery removal of the other metastasis in the middle and lower lobe of my right lung. That would be followed by up to a two week hospital stay with a three week recovery time in between the next lung surgery.  I would then have the one metastasis in my left lung removed, and recover for another 3 weeks before being allowed to fly home.  My insurance up to this point has said they will not cover any of the costs.  I have to pay $17,000 per lung surgery upfront. I would like to pursue this treatment with the hope of it being curative. I have done a lot of research, soul searching and spoke with others who had this same operation to reach my decision.  There is no guarantee that it will be a cure for me, but it gives me a good shot and I think it is a risk worth pursuing.  A cancer diagnosis leaves a lot of unknowns.  I am trying to take a big risk and hopeful for big rewards.  I am asking for support to help me make this surgery a reality.  I have to act quick because as most of you know from scan to scan things can change quickly.  Thank you in advance for any monetary donation or prayers you can provide me during this time.
