Caris Fight
Donation protected
On 4/13/23, Caris life changed forever. After having arm pain for months, it was discovered to be a large and aggressive tumor that ate away at her humerus bone, essentially breaking it. On 4/17/23, a PET scan was done and showed another tumor on her liver.
On 4/27, Cari walked into the MD Anderson Cancer Center Hematology Oncology clinic and spoke with Dr. Bollin. Dr. Bollin informed her that not only did she have cancer (Interhepatic Cholangiocarcinoma), but it was stage 4 and extremely aggressive. Without chemotherapy treatment, her lifespan would be months. With treatment, it can be extended to a year. Nonetheless, there is no cure for this and Cari will live the rest of her life with cancer and having to do chemotherapy.
Cari is in the fight for her life but is determined to take it head on with the help and support of her family. This will be a very difficult and trying time for Cari, her husband Kyle, and their two young sons, Logan (5) and Gavin (2) as this may go on for an unspecified amount of time. Your donations will surely help alleviate the financial worries during this time. Thank you for your support and prayers.
