Carin starts her chemotherapy and radiation this coming Friday (January 29th). One of the side effects of chemotherapy, of course, is hair loss. A wig made of human hair costs about $2,000 and the other options (synthetic wigs and head coverings) aren't great. Several of us have been thinking that it would be a good idea to pitch in to help offset the expense of a human hair wig and any other extra expenses that emerge from the treatment of her cancer. Carin has enough to worry about, and the next year is going to be extremely difficult and scary for her and her family.
