My name is Scott Leighton and I am trying to raise money for my beautiful girlfriend, Carinne, who was diagnosed over a month ago with a rare form of Ovarian cancer called Dysgerminoma. We are both incredibly thankful that this is a VERY treatable form of cancer (over a 90% success rate), and are in the midst of our 9-week chemotherapy treatment.
With the amount of time and physical demands that treatment requires, we are currently only able to work part-time. We are struggling to cover the various medical costs associated with treatment as well as general living expenses. We would whole-heartedly appreciate any assistance to help us make it through this tough stretch of our lives together.
We are hoping to raise the money for the following purposes:
- Cover the cost of Carinne's Medical bills (At this time we are unsure of the total amount of medical costs).
- Cover some of our existing bills such as rent, car payments, health insurance, phone bills, and other general living expenses.
We would love to reach our goal by April 1st, 2016 - three days before the end of chemotherapy.
We are adventurers at heart and something we love about adventure is that you are invited to step into something bigger than yourself. Most adventures can not be done alone, they must be shared. This is perhaps one of our greatest adventures yet and we would like you to be a part of it with us. It would mean the world to us to share it with you.
