Caring for Kyla is a way for family and friends to provide support due to recent developments in Kyla's fight against Mitochondrial Disease.

Kyla Marie is one of the most caring eight year olds we know! Her huge heart and silly sense of humor can brighten up any room. Unfortunately, when she was younger she struggled with various unexplained medical conditions. After a period of misdiagnosis, sweet Kyla was finally diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease.

As the doctors and the extended medical community continue to learn about this disease and how it specifically affects Kyla, medical expenses including tests and travel costs have come up for her family. Multiple trips to Pittsburgh Hospital have become necessary in sometimes unexpected situations as Kyla's condition has been known to flare up or worsen suddenly. Our hope is to help provide financial support to our dear friends Amber and Vinnie as they endure the medical expenses of these sometimes emergency situations. Over the past eight years they have worked to provide for Kyla's needs, and we are looking to rally around them as they are currently facing the newest challenge associated with this disorder.
