Caring for the forgotten
Donation protected
Guardian K9 Rescue Unit is a small 501(c)3 rescue organization in the mid-south. Officially established in 2015, by our own blood, sweat, and tears- we stand among many with our same heart. And like many, nearly empty pockets.
Our focus is on stray, abandoned & neglected dogs in our area, who often come to us tired, defeated, emaciated, and all too often, knocking on death's door. But with the help of friends and family, we're able to get them the medical care they need, and a lot of TLC to lift their spirits and encourage them to press on.
This fundraiser is intended to cover much of the overhead that often comes out of our own pocket. The majority of the dogs that come to us are heartworm positive, which can cost upwards of $600 to fully treat.
We currently have 24 dogs, all on site at our facility. Because we are a non-profit organization, we rely much on community support and donations. Donations have not been frequent enough to sustain the overhead, requiring us to sacrafice personally to keep our dogs happy and healthy. Any support is greatly appreciated, we need all the help we can get if we are going to continue to save these beautiful lives. We experience no greater joy than seeing one of our dogs fully recover and travel on to their forever home, and knowing the community supports our cause, makes it that much sweeter.
What do your donations do?
- $30 feeds one dog for a month
- $80 allows one more dog to be spayed/neutered
- $10 provides flea/tick/heartworm prevention for one dog per month
- $25 keeps them full with chew bones and fun toys!
- $50 covers vaccines & microchip
- $600 provides one dog with crucial heartworm treatment to ensure a long and healthy life.
Thank you for your support, and please share our campaign so we can continue to care for those the world has forgotten.
