Caring for Wyatt

Donation protected
Wyatt is a young man who moved to Starkville by himself in an old beat up AT&T van. His senior year of high school, Wyatt finished with all A’s and 2 B’s. He applied and was accepted into Mississippi State University and is studying engineering. He moved to MSU with very little (a few pairs of shorts, a few t-shirts, a couple pair of socks and underwear, basic bedding, and a backpack) Reunion Residents and Madison Community rallied behind him and provided him with nice clothes, school supplies, football tickets, a bike, and all the amenities and comforts of home in the freshman dorm at MSU. Wyatt is forever grateful and driven. He is a hard worker and washed dishes at Cracker Barrel this summer before he started MSU so that he could purchase the laptop necessary for the Engineering Program. The night that Wyatt moved to MSU, he changed the shocks on his clunker van by himself that evening, packed what little clothes and school supplies he had, and drove the van to MSU alone. The van does not have A/C and tops out at 60 MPH. When telling us about his move, he smiled and said, "Nothing was stopping me from getting to college." Supporters of Wyatt would like to rally behind him and get him a reliable, safe vehicle with A/C and heat. The targeted goal amount will hopefully buy a reliable used vehicle, taxes, title, tag and insurance for a year. We would ask that you donate as much or as little as you can to help us reach this goal. Wyatt is grateful for the generous people who have given him a new beginning in college. Please see “Updates” for before and after photos of Wyatt’s dorm room. Thank you for your continued support!
