Heather Copley and her 5 children were hit head on in their vehicle traveling on Highway 17 in Roby, Missouri the evening of September, 15. The children, ages from 1 to 10 years old, all have sustained injuries ranging from mild to severe.
Myles, Scout, and Dax are at home with mild/moderate injuries under the best care that we could ask for by other family members.
Kipp is resting pretty good this morning. He has suffered a traumatic brain injury with a small brain bleed, a clavicle break, and a pulmonary contusion. His challenges seem to be managing his head and neck pain and nausea.
Cash is currently waiting a major surgery this morning to reconnect his intestines and colon as they were severely damaged. His abdomen has been an open wound since we first arrived and the doctors had to do emergency surgery. Cash has suffered many injuries to include (I’m sure I’m forgetting something.) traumatic brain injury with skull fractures, air pockets, and brain bleeds, severe vertebrae and spinal cord issue, face/orbital fractures, collapsed lung, fluid/blood on outside and inside of lung, and severe pulmonary contusions. The doctors are closely monitoring his internal cranial (head) pressure as well as all other vitals.
Heather Morrison Copley suffered a broken ankle and is just generally “beat up” from the impact of the wreck.
I would also ask for prayers for the gentleman who was involved in the vehicle collision. I don’t believe it’s too soon to say that forgiveness for this gentleman is in our family’s hearts. Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
