Caring for the Cassicks

Please join us in showing our love and support for Chuck, Shawna, Raylynn and Hayden.  Recently, Chuck has been diagnosed with Mastocytosis.  Mastocytosis is a disease that causes overproduction of mast cells within your body.  More plainly put, this disease causes Chuck to have allergic and anaphylactic responses to typical everyday things, such as temperature changes, stress, and pain.

Over the last few weeks, Chuck has experienced some episodes which have resulted in him having to use his Epipens, two ambulance rides, and a life flight.  Thankfully, mastocystosis can be managed.  However, the medical bills are rolling in and there are several more things that need to be put in place to help Chuck maintain a stress free, wonderful life with his wife and children.

Cost of Epipens
Medical bills for ambulance rides, life flights, and hospital visits
Travel expenses (Chuck's Masto Doctor is in Philly)
Cost and maintenance of a Life Alert system for in their home and also while Chuck is traveling
Cost and maintenance of an ambulance card

As you can imagine, this has been a very stressful, overwhelming time for Chuck and Shawna.  They have been trying to learn more about this disease, but unfortunately there isn't a whole lot of information out there.  Each new day brings new challenges and worries.  However, our hope is that this fundraiser will help to alleviate any financial stress they may have during this journey.  Shawna and Chuck hope to spread more awareness about mastocytosis and become a support to others who are experiencing this disease.
