Hello, most of you know me as Amythest. - I am starting this fundraiser to help afford my dog's veterinary care and my upcoming bills for the 2025 year as I have found myself at a financial cross road.
For those of you who may not know, I have two German Shepherd dogs (pictured) that are the only family that I have here with me in Las Vegas.
Spartacus (pictured right) was recently taken to the vet due to reocurring urinary issues that I have noticed over the course of owning him. He was rescued from a local shelter one year ago.
Suspecting he could have underlying kidney issues, I was told his radiograph (x-rays) would cost an additional few hundred dollars, on top of the expenses that I had spent on his initial appointment.
Unfortunately due to the costs I have not been able to afford his treatment.
Once his x-ray results come back, he may potentially need ongoing treatment such as medications or a special diet that will be a continuous investment toward maintaining his health.
Athena (pictured left) is my girl who has been with me for 7 years now, moving with me across the country and accompanying me for countless adventures.
She is due for her annual vet appointment, and I have noticed some lumpy areas on her that may be benign tumors that I would like to have checked out so I can make sure that she is healthy. Her teeth are also a concern as I have noticed some wearing which can lead to potential infections.
Any help with expenses contributed in this fundraiser will go directly towards their veterinary care.
My first dog Breena passed away very suddenly last month, and coping with her parting has been deeply heartbreaking for my entire family.
On top of the unexpected weight on our heavy hearts, my parents were also hit with the weight of her medical expenses, as the efforts to save her life under emergency care ranked up to over $10,000.
Both of my parents have also been undergoing their own series of health battles over the last 2 months during these times that has continuously strained their emotional wellbeing and moral.
My father is supposed to retire after over 30 years of helping others as a Primary Care Doctor. Due to these expenses and hardships, he has forced himself to work through his own underlying health issues in order to make ends meet.
My parents are both in their late 60s, and I hate seeing their quality of life being diminished by the burden of making ends meet during these difficult circumstances.
I would like to use any ongoing contributions donated to help relieve the expenses of my mom and dad.
On a personal level over the course of this year, I have been facing some personal loses, some that I have shared publically, and some that I have kept private due to the sensitive nature of the topics impacting me as well as my family.
Along with these circumstances and with the conclusion of my touring, I have been left with some financial struggles to get by. I have been living paycheck to paycheck and am only renting my home, and with this lately I am unable to find much flexibility to afford to get ahead in life.
I am starting this fundraiser in order to ask for assistance during these difficult times, to pay for my dog's medical expenses, and any remaining funds will go towards my bills for the upcoming 2025 year.
Thank you all for hearing my story and for contributing with your time.
Happy 2025 New Year!
