On September 26th, in the early morning hours, the world became a little darker—but Heaven gained a whole lot of light. Amanda Rose Bush began her next adventure.

Before leaving us, Amanda made sure her presence was felt by everyone lucky enough to know her. She was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend. She had one of those infectious smiles that felt like sunshine and could light up an entire room, no matter the mood.

Amanda was a fantastic cook who worked at some really incredible restaurants throughout Baltimore City. She loved hard, and the people in her life never had to question it. Whether she was doing something as simple as picking crabs or going to live theater, Amanda had a way of bringing her whole heart with her.

But one of the most important people in Amanda’s life was her mom. Her mom loved her, cared for her, supported her, and stood beside her through everything. Now that Amanda is no longer here, we want to make sure her mom is cared for with the same love and devotion that she gave Amanda.

Losing a child is a pain no mother should ever have to endure. In the middle of unimaginable grief, the everyday responsibilities of life don’t stop. Bills still arrive. Groceries still need to be bought. Household expenses still have to be paid. And there are additional costs that come with losing someone you love.

We are raising money to help Amanda’s mom with daily living costs and any other expenses that arise during this incredibly difficult time. Our hope is to give her some breathing room—to allow her the time and space to grieve her daughter without having to carry the added weight of financial stress.

Amanda’s mom spent so much of her life taking care of her. Now it’s our turn to help take care of her mom.

Amanda was deeply loved, and that love didn’t disappear when she left us. We want to turn some of that love into support for the woman who loved and cared for her from the very beginning.
