Caring for Rob Schoon and Calin Neely

My name is Alicia Hosey, and I'm from Bloomington, Indiana. I work with Rob in the IT Communications department of Indiana University.

Our friend and colleague, Rob Schoon, suffered a medical emergency on Thursday, January 24. I'm sad to say that Rob will not recover, and will leave us. Rob is an organ donor. He will save lives and continue to live on, especially in our hearts and memories.

His devoted girlfriend, Calin, could use our help in meeting living expenses and other unexpected bills during this difficult time. Calin has gone through her vacation time, and is currently off work without pay. She doesn't need to be worrying about that now, only taking care of herself while she and Rob's family grieve.

I will be withdrawing the money raised minus the fees, and writing Calin a check for that amount. Documentation will be provided upon request.

An informal gathering of friends will take place at the Irish Lion, 12 W. Kirkwood Ave., Thursday, January 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
