Noelle Ruegg went into the Emergency Room at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Friday, June 3rd, after experiencing severe abdominal pain. Once in the
hospital, symptoms rapidly escalated, and she was taken for a cat scan to determine what
was causing the issue. The scan showed a lime-sized mass blocking the large intestine. After emergency surgery, many smaller procedures and 12 days in the hospital, she returned home with a Stage 3 Colon Cancer diagnosis.
The major surgery to remove the tumor required a temporary necessity of a stoma and an
ostomy bag. Noelle works in coaching gymnastics, and having a physical appliance that is so sensitive makes it unsafe for her to return to work properly.
Noelle will be beginning chemotherapy this month and will spend 3-6 months in treatment
before a reversal surgery can be performed. This is a time of great uncertainty for her, and a Go Fund Me is a way we can help support her financially. Funds will be used for medical bills, supplies, chemotherapy, and living expenses while she cannot work. Any help, be it a
donation, prayers or words of support, is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much!
