On December 2nd, our family experienced a loss we could never have prepared for. My dad passed away unexpectedly, and in a single moment, my mom’s entire world changed. She lost her husband, her best friend, and her partner in everything. And now, as she grieves, she’s also facing the heavy weight of navigating life alone; emotionally, practically, and financially.

Anyone who knew my dad knows the kind of man he was. He was strong, protective, funny, gentle, and endlessly loyal. He loved my mom and his kids fiercely. He was the kind of husband who carried burdens quietly so she wouldn’t have to. With him gone, those burdens now sits on her shoulders. And anyone who knows my mom, knows she is the most generous person that would do anything for anyone who needed it. Now I’m asking for us to return the favor.

While she waits for life insurance, social security benefits, and disability processes to move forward, life doesn’t slow down. Bills still come. Groceries still need to be bought. The house still needs to run. And the truth is… that weight is so heavy for my mom to carry alone.
