Hello, my name is Deanna, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my mom, Lori.

Lori has recently been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer as well as lymphoma, with metastasis to her liver. She has already begun treatment and has completed her first round of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, which she will continue going forward.

My mom is a kind, funny, and deeply passionate woman who has always gone out of her way to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She has been a hairstylist since graduating high school and has truly loved her work—helping her clients feel confident, beautiful, and cared for. Seeing others happy has always brought her joy, and being part of that has meant everything to her.

Because Lori is self-employed, she is responsible for her own health insurance. Due to her illness, she is now on oxygen, experiences frequent dizziness and weakness, and is no longer able to work.

As Lori focuses on treatment and rest, the financial burden has quickly become overwhelming. Funds raised will help cover:

• Medical and hospital bills

• Health insurance costs

• Housing and basic living expenses

Our hope is to ease the weight she’s carrying so she can focus on healing and taking care of herself.

Lori is in palliative care, a loving mother of three, and a new grandmother. Knowing her essential needs are taken care of would mean the world to her during this incredibly difficult time.
