Caring for Kole

Hello, my name is Tairen & I started this fundraiser to help my family care for my cousin Kole Stenson. Kole is my witty and fun 17-year-old cousin that is also a twin.

On the evening of Saturday, March 4th, Kole was taken by ambulance to Rush Copley. The circumstances surrounding this tragedy are still unknown and a part of an ongoing investigation. Kole coded in the ambulance on the way to Copley and then once more when there. Copley was able to stabilize him and then transferred him out to Rush downtown to the Pediatric ICU, where he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury.

After many weeks that turned into months, with countless setbacks, Kole was finally able to move to a rehab facility in Naperville.

Currently, Kole is still in the Naperville rehab and continues to improve but his dad and twin brother are determined to get him home!

Renovations will need to be done for wheelchair accessibility, lots of equipment for him to be safe at home and supplies to keep him comfortable. To help with this we will be having a fundraiser and motorcycle ride on 9/9/23
