Caring for Kendall on Carolina St.
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I’m one of Kendall’s neighbors, and I want to tell you a little about the joy he brings to our street.
If you’ve ever walked down Carolina Street, you’ve likely seen Kendall sitting on the corner with a warm smile and a wave for every passerby. He brings light and laughter to our little community each day—and now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Kendall was recently given a terminal diagnosis, and while he’s been feeling the weight of that news, we want him to know just how seen, loved, and needed he is. One of his biggest needs right now is a new battery for his motorized chair, which costs about $260. This would help him stay mobile and continue connecting with the neighbors he loves so much.
If we receive additional funds, we’ll use them to support Kendall with essentials like food, Depends, Pedialyte, and—his biggest dream—a trip to the beach. He hasn’t seen the ocean in over 30 years, and we’re working to get him there this week.
We believe no one should walk through suffering alone, and we want Kendall to feel the love and support of the community he’s poured so much light into.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and for reminding Kendall that he is not forgotten.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” —Mark 12:31
Let’s help our friend make it to the sea—and remind him how deeply he matters.
