Caring for our dear Kakki

One of the shining lights of the JMDL Family, Kakki, aka Kathy Herrity, also called the ambassador of the list, has been going through some changes.  Let's help her fight!  
Kakki was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in March 2017.  
Although Kakki had always worked and saved, her insurance did not pay for much of her chemo, and there have been other large co-pays. Her financial reserves are very low. She paid into long term care insurance for many years, and has applied for her benefits, but they are stalling on starting payments. Typical Kakki, she has not wanted to ask for help or sympathy, but just keeps fighting. If she can get her strength back up she could continue the fight, but she is currently very weak. All the medication, surgeries and chemo have affected her balance. She needs an around the clock caregiver and that will cost about $420 per day.  

Please help her if you can. Prayers and positive vibes and thoughts are also requested. She is still logging on to FaceBook when she has the strength so please message her on instant messenger privately on that platform or call. Please do not post this on her page or do not tag her with this fund site.
Our goal is $13,000 which will take care of 2 months of home health care and cover medical needs.  She put in her application in August for her long term health care, but still has not received it..
I know we have all shared some fantastic moments with Kakki both on line and in person!  Every little bit will help.
