Caring for Ellie Mae and Smokey After Their Dad’s Passing

Hello all, we very unexpectedly lost my 37-year-old cousin. I have since inherited 2 dogs.

Unfortunately, this is a financial situation I was not planning for.

I have approximated some of the costs that I have either already purchased or have been quoted for:

Ellie Mae - Grooming was quoted approximately $120. She looks like a mauled grizzly... She hasn't been to the vet in two years, so she needs all her shots, and she definitely needs dental cleaning and blood work, approximately $200-$1200.

Smokey - Pre-op appointment, labs, shots, and spay. Approximately $1000. She also has some skin issues going on, so I am sure she will need treatment for that, $100. All the extra dog food, $300. Toys, $100. Doggie diapers, $40, because of course, she is currently in heat.

Both girls will also need Flea, Tick, and Heartworm prevention which will all require testing before starting.

Thank you in advance for helping me get the girls to optimal health and wellness. They have been through a lot with losing their dad. Ellie Mae was my cousin's dog for the past 10 years. She is definitely battling depression, but she seems to be coming around and starting to play. Smokey (Smoke) is doing great. We are dealing with her separation anxiety the best we know how, giving her lots of room to run. I would love to eventually get her into training for some leash manners.

Thank you to those who donate. All funds will be spent on the dogs.
