Caring for Children of City Carton

An epic story about connecting global communities.
I recently was in Maryland and in the crazy way God orchestrates details, I had the opportunity to meet a lady named Carolyne. Carolyne is from Kenya but currently resides in the states. She is good friends with a pastor near Nairobi named Isaac.
Isaac and his church are located right next to a slum called City Carton, which has a population of about half a million people. The slum gets its name because most people live in cartons made out of cardboard. Isaac's church works hard to meet their needs through providing various resources including food and even mattresses when a fire recently went through the slum.
Isaac and I have connected over the last few months and he has shared the vision and proposal he has for City Carton. He is currently in the process of purchasing land in the middle of City Carton which will be used as a refuge for children. This land will include a church, school, dorms and allocate resources to the people of City Carton.
Here's where YOU come in!
Here's the breakdown for the current status of the project: November 7th I'll be doing an Iron Man (swimming 2 miles, biking 112 miles, and running 26.2 miles) in Panama City Beach. I wanted to celebrate this accomplishment by raising support for City Carton. The most pressing needs include:
$3,000 left to purchase the land
Initial Steps in Getting a Well:
$550 Hydrological Survey
$100 Licenses
$550 Mobilization
(Total well project will be about $15,000 depending on the depth they need to drill, which will be determined in the survey)
Will you be a part of transforming this little gem of City Carton into a place of hope and strength?
