Clint’s Story
Clinton Blazevich is 42 years old, married to Brandy (Gregory), and a father of three wonderful children: Alexis, Payton, and Jocelyn. They reside in Elizabeth, PA. Clint's goal in life is to be the best husband and father he can be, but it doesn't stop there. His passion outside of his family are sharing the Gospel as a pastor at Cheswick Christian Fellowship in Pittsburgh, PA, where he also teaches and helps coach basketball and flag football.
At the age of 24, Clint was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and myocarditis after a virus attacked his heart, leaving his heart to only function at 20% capacity. Clint never used his devastating diagnosis as an excuse to not pour his love and joy into other people's lives.
Unfortunately, on June 27, 2019, Clint was rushed to the hospital only to receive the news that his family and friends had dreaded to hear: after 18 years of medications sustaining Clint's heart, he and Brandy were told that his heart is in final stage of heart failure. He is now in need of a heart transplant. Clint went in for open heart surgery to receive an artificial heart (LVAD) this past Tuesday. The surgery will help strengthen his heart until a new one is made available, and he currently is in the Surgical ICU. Clint faces a long recovery process.
In a few months after he heals from this surgery, he will be on the heart transplant list and wait for a heart to be made available. There will be a lot of follow up doctors appointments and prescriptions and anti rejection medications that will not be covered by Medicare and his supplement health insurance. This fundraiser will help cover some out of pocket expenses that will be needed for a long time to be able to bless the Blazevich family.
How You Can Help
Clint and his family ask for your prayers. Above all, they have an unwavering faith in the love and power of their Lord Jesus, and they know your prayers will help provide the peace and strength they need in this difficult time for their family.
We'd like to try to help Clint and his family by raising funds via his Go Fund Me page for extensive medications he will need for the the rest of Clint's life, as well as current and future medical costs.
Even if you can't afford to donate, but you think this is a worthwhile cause, could you please help get the word out by sharing the link to your Facebook and other social media platforms.
Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to pray for him, Brandy, Lexi, Payton, and Jocelyn. Your donation is a blessing more than you might even know.
