First of all, thank you for stopping by! For those of you who do not know me, my name is Carina Aguirre, and am the co-founder of Strength in Pain Fitness, LLC.. I am a proud mother of 2 young men, (23 and 15), engaged to my business partner Joshua Larson. Together, they are my Strength in Pain Family! I am fortunate enough to call myself a Professional Body Builder, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified in Fitness Nutrition, and even a Strength and Conditioning Coach! My main goals in life are to showcase to others that sheer determination and faith can lead to a better life mentally, spiritually, and physically. I want to impact the lives of others by helping them develop a WARRIOR lifestyle and mentality, and that the only
thing stopping them from success is themselves. “IRON SHARPENS IRON,” a
motto we use daily to describe our business and our way of life.
What Will the Money Be Used For?
Competing in a league as big as WBFF Worlds 2021 comes with it expenses entirely out of our pay-grade. For all of my past Physique Body-Building competitions, expenses amounted to just custom bikini top and bottoms, cosmetics such as tanning, makeup, and nails, and the meals and posing training needed to perform correctly. With WBFF Worlds 2021, I am going to need more help than I thought...
With your help, I am hoping to be able to pay for expenses such as the competition admission, 3 personalized and customized costumes and suits, cosmetics such as makeup and tanning, and even the photography from one of the best photographers in the business. On top of all of that, I need to hire the best trainers and posing coaches in the fitness industry to supply me with my very own weekly meal plans and training routines, as well as the correct training for poses.
Last competition (WBFF 2020), you guys help donated more than I could pray for and your generous donations supplied me with tremendous help! The costume
was nothing I thought could ever come to life, my body was the most toned it has ever been, the posing was the best I had ever done, and it showed! With your help, I managed to place 1ST in the Fitness Diva Division!Check out the results below!
Who Is CARINA AGUIRRE?
As a child, growing up wasn't necessarily the American Dream. Originally born in Mexico, I moved back to the states at the age of 7. I did not have a proper mother role figure in my life and English was my second language, so trying to learn and adapt to a different lifestyle was extremely hard. As a child I was constantly kicked down emotionally and physically by those who were supposed to care for me. I was lost and desperate trying to find out who I truly was. I didn't have any dreams or goals and was just glad to be considered to be part of something. Seeking approval, I found myself running with the wrong crowds and gangs. I was turning out to be the exact thing my father prayed I would never become.
At only 17 I became pregnant with my first child, and I thought things couldn't get harder than they already were. I had run away from my fathers home, and was left with the responsibility of providing the income for myself, my future son, and even the father of my child. Just at 18 years old, I was working as a full-time cashier at Jack-in-the-Box, trying to continue my education, paying for rent, saving for my child, and was in a dead-end relationship. Truly not what I had imagined my life to be.
Fast forward to 2012, a roller coaster of a year. I had just turned 32, was raising 2 young boys on my own, going through a divorce, was purchasing my first home, was working a highly stressful job in the mortgage field, and both of my dearly cherished grandmothers passed away. On top of all of this, in 2013 I suffered what was the beginning of a stroke, which prompted an immediate attention of a doctor. After an immediate visit, I would now be labeled “obese” and was informed that if I didn’t change my lifestyle soon, things would quickly take a turn for the worse. I decided if I wasn't going to change for myself, I should do it for my kids. What kind of mother would I be to let my children watch me slowly diminish? What would be of them?
After much dedication, 2014 was the year where my life changed for the better. This was the year where I met my now, fiance Joshua Larson. Soon after meeting, we realized how much we had in common, one of which was a passion for working out. We both decided to leave the corporate world and follow our dreams and passions, pursuing the fitness industry a little deeper. I decided to compete in my first Body Building show and I was nationally qualified with NPC in 2016 placing two 2nd places. Having not only pursued my goal, we also decided to establish our business, Strength In Pain Fitness, LLC. and pursued helping others, which at this point I had discovered had been my calling all along, to help people change their lives as well. In 2017, I competed again in my second show with NSL, placing 1st and 2nd place. The goal was to achieve a Professional Card as a Bodybuilder, which I later achieved in 2018 at the Poseidon Show. A dream come true!
What is WBFF? What does competing in it mean to you?
Essentially, it is the World Beauty Fitness & Fashion Show! It is a competition that allows striving athletes and models to showcase their very best through means of beauty and fitness, as well as fashion and music. Having this be the second WBFF Competition I compete in, the fire has been fueled! WBFF has changed my view on what it is I can accomplish, and body-building in general. Many people in my life have told me I would never amount to anything, and that where I am now would be the best to come. Yet, God has continued to bless me and guide my path. I would not be where I am without Him. He continues to open doors full of opportunity and change, and is the sole reason why I continue to push forward. This is a huge leap into new territories. This competition is going to allow me to reach wider audiences world wide, but importantly, show all the underdogs that WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
I feel the entire process leading up the the WBFF 2021 Competition will ignite a fire in the people who have others telling them to avoid chasing after their dreams. With this brand new competition, I want to show that I am a strong and beautiful woman before I am a fit athlete. I want to express to every single person that you are more than enough, despite what background you come from, the only thing stopping you from getting to those goals is yourself. Surrounding yourself with people who have the same mentality and are supportive will only get you farther, and I hope those with me on this journey are motivated by my process.
