After the Jan 19-21 visit to Mayo.

We met the Tumor Team! 5 surgeons and Oncology

Colorectal

GYN

Urologist

Orthopedic

Plastic Surgery

Current Plan:

Finish up the 5 chemo sessions as planned, at Sanford in Fargo. Should finish about March 25th

April 8, 9, 10th @ Mayo - TESTS!

Scans, labs, markers, more scans, levels, etc.

Tumor Team reviews.

If those look good...

Monday April 13th @ Mayo - Exploratory surgery with all 5.

If all 5 of the Tumor Team give the green light, 'Yes surgery is possible'.

Then they'll set the BIG surgery date.

To get ready for that, Cari will start @ Mayo - 3 weeks Radiation AND Chemo. 5x a week.

BIG surgery will happen - take out the tumor and the rest of the lady parts.

More details and clarification to come.

Hey all—

Because Cari Jo is nothing if not stubborn, cancer apparently didn’t get the hint the first time. So here we are again.

The cancer is back. Stage 4 with an angry tumor (about the size of a peach), that's causing pain in the...well, whatever real estate she has left down there.

Good news: it hasn’t spread.

Less fun news: due to the location and complexity, Sanford is sending her to the overachievers at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.

We head there January 19th so a team of very smart people can come up with a game plan. *More details TBD

In the meantime, to try get the tumor settled down, Cari has jumped right back into chemo —every two weeks at Sanford in Fargo—because apparently she doesn’t know how to do anything the easy way.
