The town of Paradise has been destroyed by a devastating fire. Paradise was home to our cousin Chris and his family, including his two sons (Chris and Bryce) and girlfriend Kelly. We are so so grateful that they were all able to safely evacuate and are all out of harm's way currently. However, there was only a very brief time for Paradise residents to grab a few limited belongings before the fire took over, as it came on quickly. The family has learned that their home burnt down to the ground as the fire tore through, and all of their possessions that were not on them when they left are destroyed. The family is left to cope and rebuild amidst severe loss and trauma; Kelly and the boys have known Paradise as their home nearly their whole lives and face tremendous adjustment and need for support moving forward from this. As you can imagine, this has been a tragic and shocking loss for the family and they are in need of our help right now. Dad Chris is devastated and trying to sort out where to even begin and how to get through the days after such an experience. I know any contribution would be greatly appreciated, to help the family survive and get by in coming weeks and to try to get back on their feet and start a new chapter in their lives.
