My Dad, David, is nearing the end of his life. He has been battling brain cancer for three years now with the support of my mom Kathy. Recently, his abilities to be autonomous have drastically deteriorated. My mom has been my dads caretaker since his diagnosis as me and my brothers were in school. I’m desperate to help my mom. She has slept an hour each night for the past week as she cares for her now disabled husband. I admire and truly am in awe of how strong she is. The past few days we have been discussing hiring a caretaker for David to allow my mom to rest. A single night costs us 300$, which i know is a lot, but Im hoping to raise 1500$ amounting to 5 days.
