Carer for Prof. Breda Ennis (Bridget Catherine Ennis)

Dear Friends and Supporters,

My name is Sara Leonardi (McGrath), and I am a proud alumna of the American University of Rome, class of 2003. During my time at AUR, I had the immense pleasure of being taught Art by Prof. Breda Ennis. Her classes were a delightful respite from my business studies, and her profound influence on my education has guided me into a creative career that I cherish today.

Prof. Breda Ennis was not only one of the first professors at AUR but also a dedicated educator who established the first English-speaking Arts major in Italy. Her unwavering commitment to her students and the university has left an indelible mark on many lives, including my own.

Today, Prof. Ennis needs our help. After retiring from AUR, she has faced numerous health challenges and financial burdens. Currently, she is hospitalized in Rome and cannot return home due to the lack of a carer. Without any family in Italy or children to support her, she is in a dire situation, both physically and mentally.

I kindly ask you to join me in supporting Prof. Ennis during this difficult time. Your donations will go directly towards hiring a carer, allowing her to return home and live with the dignity and care she deserves. Our goal is to ensure she can manage her health and continue to find comfort and stability in her life.
