My friend, Caren, recently took a bad fall and broke her left leg in three places, affecting both the tibia and the fibula. The doctor said this break will require surgery and physical therapy. Because she lives alone, she may also need assistance with day-to-day chores. 

Currently, Caren is working as a freelance writer and editor and doesn’t have insurance. All the costs associated with her surgery will require up-front payment and will she will also need to have physical therapy.

Caren has been a good friend to many and a strong public servant to the community as both a reporter and volunteer.  She is usually the one helping and encouraging others, but now finds herself in a very difficult place. Please help her during this challenging time in any way you can. All donations are greatly appreciated!
