Caregiving for Vivian and Mike

Hello, my name is Chelsey I am raising money for my mom and dad Mike and Vivian. My parents have been married for 40 years. In 2014, my dad was diagnosed with MSA (multi symptom atrophy). He lost all muscle control and needs someone to care for him 24/7 which up until this past week has been my mom. She retired early to care for him full time in 2019 and this last week was diagnosed with giant cell arteritis and has lost 80% of her vision.

My sister and I have been caring for them, but unfortunately we can't care for both of them full-time. This is where we are asking for help, we are in desperate need of accessories or gadgets that can help her live as normally as possible. We also would like to provide a full time caregiver to our parents so they can stay at home together. If you or anyone you know has experienced this we are also looking for guidance and support.

This has been a whirlwind of unexpected and unfair complications and our family is struggling to deal with all of this. My dad is 66 and my mom is 60. They should be enjoying their retirement, grand babies, and life together unimpeded with crazy medical trauma.
