"Khadima - The Caregiver" is more than just a piece of narrative; it's a powerful tale crafted to shed light on the harrowing realities faced by Indian immigrants in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the often-overlooked struggles of housemaids/ servants commonly known as Khadimas or Khaddamas.

This project is the culmination of passionate research and dedication, serving as the final thesis project at the esteemed New York Film Academy, Los Angeles. Through meticulous storytelling and cinematic craftsmanship, we aim to bring attention to the plight of migrant workers and advocate for much-needed reform in labour policies.

"Khadima" follows the courageous journey of Janaki, a Malayali as she escapes from the clutches of exploitation after enduring two years of torment at the hands of her employer or Kafeel. Incidents from all over the Middle East have left us with a gut-wrenching experience and we aim to do the same and eventually spread awareness.

But we can't do it alone. We need your support to bring this important story to life and ensure its message reaches far and wide. You become an integral part of our mission by contributing to this crowdfunding campaign to spark meaningful conversations and drive change.

Much of the funds donated will be going to video production, set design, transportation, food, equipment, and lodging. Your support will not only help us cover production costs but also enable us to engage with the community and amplify our message through film festivals and screenings.
