Hello, Im Jordan, and for the past two years I have been a care giver to my mother, Eleanore, who was diagnosed with dementia and was a kidney transplant recipient in 2018. The past two years I hadn’t been able to work due to my caregiving responsibilities and furthering my education on my own. I recently was able to secure a job in my field but I just can not catch up to the bills that are due in order to properly take care of my Mom while Im at work. She goes to a day center that cost $86 perday, our rent is $965, and the medications she needs to keep her transplanted kidney add up so quickly I can not catch up even with my salary and her social security. I hate asking for things because I was taught to provide for myself and my family but I feel like I am in a hole I can’t dig out of. Thank you for reading.
