My name is Brittney Moyer,
My mother, Carol Pope “POPEY”, is the strongest woman that I know mentally, emotionally, and physically; and if you know her, you definitely know! She is the best Mimi, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend anyone could ask for.
A couple of years ago, my mother was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, which only required tests to keep an eye on her blood count levels. In the last year, her leukemia started spiraling very aggressively. If you know Carol, you know she’s so dear of a person that she puts everyone else before her, and you’ll never know what’s really going on with her because she hides it very well. A few weeks ago, my mother was admitted to the hospital to immediately start chemotherapy because of how aggressive, in such a short time, the leukemia is taking over. My mother doesn’t like people knowing what’s going on with her, especially when it comes to being sick. I know this will mean a lot to her to see and know she has people that truly, genuinely care about her and are beside her through all this!
Carol is a very dedicated Mimi. She loves her 9 grandchildren more than anything in this world and loves spending most of her free time with them, along with shooting pool, hanging out with friends, doing family-oriented activities, watching all sports (especially her Steelers; you can’t tell her anything about Pittsburgh haha), and attending her grandkids' sporting events. She’s their BIGGEST and LOUDEST fan in the stands and never misses a wrestling match, basketball, or softball game.
My mother is currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy treatments, and it will last no less than a year.
During this time, she can’t work. Being a shift manager and dedicated employee who takes her job very seriously, she had to go from working over 40/50, sometimes 60 hours a week, to not working until the doctor clears her to go back to work.
She’s having a rough time with all of this, and I’m just asking for anyone who can to help me make everything as comfortable as possible for her during this time and help her with her rent, bills, medical expenses, trips back and forth to treatment, daily household items, and just some overall peace of mind so she doesn’t feel alone through all this. If you can’t donate, we still appreciate if you would just please share this post.
My mother is my biggest supporter and fan and is the closest person I have to me. Mimi is Khloe and Josiyah's most favorite person in this whole world, and this has all been pretty rough on them as well, not understanding fully but being around daily. So we just ask from the bottom of our hearts that you could even just take the time to read this and SAY A PRAYER FOR CAROL, and by the grace of God and all your prayers and support, she will push through this.
Also, if you do not feel comfortable donating on here, there is also PayPal, Cashapp, Venmo or Applepay available, or I would also be more than willing to meet/pick up any donations within a reasonable distance.
For any further payment arrangements or questions, feel free to message myself, “Brittney Pope,” on Facebook and you can message me for my phone number.
