Help Amino the Kitten Grow Big & Strong
Donation protected
Amino is a 9 week old kitten rescued by CARE Southcoast from a Facebook Marketplace ad, selling her for $5. She has been living with her foster mom & dad since she was 2 weeks old. Around 4 weeks old she developed pneumonia and suffered a collapsed lung. We didn't think she would survive... but

After a day in the oxygen tent, 2 rounds of antibiotics, and weeks of tube feeding, Amino is alive and doing much much better. Her main issue is that she has a very difficult time keeping her food in her belly. It often is regurgitated through her nose with foam, and she gets VERY upset about it. Because of this she isn't gaining weight as she should.

We don't know why this is happening. It could be esophageal trauma, strictures, fistulas, or something else. After several visits, x-rays, and inconclusive blood tests, her vets have recommended an internal specialist and an endoscopy. We have shopped around, and $2500 is the estimate for consults, an endoscopy, and future treatment.
When not throwing up through her nose she spends her time climbing, exploring and chewing on the faces of her foster mates. She is a good candidate for medical intervention and can live a happy and healthy life with a little help from all of us.
Can you help our sweetie get the care she needs so she can grow big and strong? If you can't give right now, please consider sharing her story with your friends.
