On July 4th, Russell suffered a horrible accident with a firework. In this, he lost most of his right hand. He spent 10 days in the hospital and had 2 surgeries so far.

Family has helped square away Russell's insurance, thankfully. However, Russell will be out of work essentially for the remainder of the year. He is also looking at future surgeries with possible amputation, occupational therapy, physical therapy and rehabilitation.

This is a life altering incident that has happened and will be months and months of recovery for Russell. He is the go-to guy for our family's needs and so we are all a little lost without his helping hands (lol he would laugh at this! He is in great spirits).

Russell is a member of District Council 3, Local 2012, painters' union for 21 years. He's been a finisher, industrial and commercial painter. He's missing his work family and hopes to rehabilitate to return to work as soon as he is able.
