Hello, everyone! Thanks for checking out this fundraiser for Jennifer Olson as she undergoes cancer treatment. My name is Derek and I'm Jenni's bro-in-law (Jaron's brother).

We are so thankful to hear about all the love and care that Jenni and family are receiving! We set up this GoFundMe because many of you have asked them how you can help.

Now that they've absorbed this heavy news and Jenni has begun treatment, one way we can care for them is by alleviating some of the potential financial crunch. There are some short-term needs as well as some long-range concerns. Plus, there will likely be unexpected financial costs that arise.

Early on, these funds will help them setup their home to be as comfortable for Jenni as possible. There are some comfort items needed including perhaps a suitable chair for Jenni to relax and recover in. Plus, some other medical-related items are needed.

Looking further down the road, they anticipate that treatment length/timing will mean that the required time for medical leave will exceed paid family medical leave coverage. At that point, maintaining medical insurance for Jenni and their daughters will require making Cobra payments for a few months until Jenni is able to return to work.
