What started as an ordinary morning has quickly became a life altering day. This morning, our family received the kind of phone call no one is ever prepared for.

My cousin’s 16-year-old daughter was involved in a serious car accident while her 11-year-old brother was with her.

Two children, whose lives are forever changed!!

Sister suffered devastating injuries, including the loss of her arm, along with multiple broken bones, and a Traumatic Brain Injury.

Brother is bruised and broken…

Sister has a very severe and incredibly long road ahead of her—surgeries, healing, rehabilitation, learning to navigate life in a completely new way, and all of the physical and emotional challenges that will come with it.

** There are so many unknowns right now. ** What we do know is that the financial impact of something like this will be tremendous—medical expenses, rehabilitation, prosthetics and future care, travel, time away from work, and countless expenses that no family could ever anticipate.

But- I know this family is surrounded by family and community that loves her, and we are going to be beside her every step of the way.

Right now the Trochta/Grant family’s entire focus needs to be on their children and getting them through the days and months ahead.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help take even a small portion of that burden off their shoulders so they can focus on what matters most: their children and healing.
