On January 3rd our father Scott Starnes had a massive heart attack while on a hunting trip in Hyde County, NC. By the grace of God he was able to make it to ECU Medical Center to have a heart catheterization and subsequent open heart surgery. His hospital stay has been complicated due to his severity of illness. As of right now we have no timeline of how long he will be in the hospital or what his prognosis is.

I am starting this gofundme to assist our family (specifically my mom) during this time. My mom is unable to work and my father is retired. The hospital he is at is a 3 hour drive from my mom and 2 and half from me and my sister. The plan is to transfer him closer to home once he is stable enough. However, we have no idea when that will be. All funds from this gofundme will go to assist my mom with loss income, travel costs and assisting her with having a place to stay close to my father.
