Care for Rilynn.

Rilynn Noel Bayne is a beautiful “miracle” baby girl who was born on August 18th 2021 at 3lbs, 5oz.

 

• Rilynn’s mother Noel, a local volunteer firefighter and EMT and a loving wife & mother to her 10 yr old daughter, had contracted COVID on August 14,2021 and was admitted to the ICU where she fought to save her and her baby’s life. At 30 weeks pregnant, an emergency c-section was performed and Baby Rilynn was born. 

 

Unfortunately, 2 days after giving birth, Noel took a turn for the worst. She was intubated and put into a medical induced coma to give her body a chance to recover and as hard as she fought,  Noel passed away on August 28th. She didn’t get a chance to hold her newborn or say goodbye to her older daughter or her husband. It all happened so fast and so unexpected!  It still doesn’t seem real. 

 

Rilynn’s Dad, also a volunteer firefighter, says that his baby girl is a fighter too, just like her Mom. Rilynn spent several weeks in the NICU growing big and getting stronger. Her Dad came to visit as much as possible, and the nursing staff taught him how to care for his new baby.

 

On October 5, 2021, 49 days after her birth, Rilynn was discharged from the NICU (at over 6lbs!) and was finally able to come home with her Dad. He is so excited to have his baby girl home, but he is also grieving so badly over the loss of his wife.  There will be a lot of adjustments and some financial concerns as medical bills are mounting. Childcare is an added expense that was not expected, as Noel was planning to be home with their daughter once she delivered.

 

Friends and family have teamed up to set up this crowdfunding page to garner support for Rilynn and her Dad. Their little family, is down to only 2 , Daddy and Rilynn now.  Noel’s other daughter who He has raised as if she was his own, for the last 4 years, is now living with her dad in California. So not only did he lose his wife, he also lost his step daughter, Rilynns sister. They are down to one income and Dad works evening hours to support himself and his new sweet girl. Childcare is Dad’s #1 concern and we have been researching programs for evening care; of course, the cost is the largest barrier.

 

Please help us support this family of local heroes in their time of need. His whole world has completely changed overnight and he is learning how to be a single father (and doing a wonderful job so far!). He’s completely dedicated to caring for his baby girl, and he will need some help from our community.

 

Rilynn’s Dad asked not to be named, and wants everyone to know that 100% of the funds generated will go directly to finding safe and stable childcare so that Rilynn can continue to grow and stay healthy. Any additional funds will be directly put toward medical bills generated by Noel and Riylnn's extensive hospital stay from being in the ICU and The NICU
