Hi friends! It’s the Level Ground Staff Artist team reaching out to ask for some support for our dear friend, collaborator, and colleague Reneice Charles.

At the end of January, Reneice’s mom had a medical emergency and Reneice unexpectedly had to travel across the country to be her mom’s primary caregiver and support person. Her mom is still in the hospital and Reneice is still with her.

While the purpose of this campaign is not to share any details regarding her mom’s prognosis or recovery, we do know that over the next few months, Reneice will need lots of time and space to be away from her life in Los Angeles.

Level Ground is committed to community care and mutual support. Through paid sick time, paid vacation time, and paid emergency leave, our small, but mighty organization is able to pay Reneice during her time away for just over 5 full weeks. Unfortunately, our organizational resources can’t extend beyond that.

So we are asking for your support! To our own Level Ground community and to Reneice’s community in and outside of Level Ground, would you help us raise an additional $6,000 to support Reneice through this very difficult season? This money will be used to help Reneice cover rent, as well as pay for food, self-care, and travel expenses.
