Veterinarians in Minnesota are helping bring care to vulnerable families’ pets at this terrible time. Other mutual aid groups are rightly focused on the first need of rent, legal and food services. However, there is an increasing need to help pets left behind, and pets still in the care of their family that have extremely limited options and resources. We know pets are our lifeline when we are in trauma and we want them to get the care they need. I am deeply invested in this work. My friends far and wide have asked how they can help.
