Update: after losing Paisley not even 2 weeks had passed & Penelope had 5 back to back seizures within a 30 minute time frame. After a trip to the emergency vet, an additional $2400 has been tacked on to an already daunting bill. I’ve exhausted all resources & desperately need help getting the card balance down so that I can continue to care for & manage her seizures. In addition to all of this she is now fighting kennel cough. I hate asking for help, but every penny will be a huge help to us. 

With the heaviest heart, I’m sharing that Paisley passed away.

Despite urgent veterinary care & doing everything possible to stabilize her, Paisley suffered a prolonged seizure caused by a sudden & severe medical crisis. The vets did everything they could, but her body could not recover.

I am completely heartbroken. Paisley was deeply loved & was never alone, she was surrounded by care, compassion & love until the very end.

I also want to be transparent that I am still facing significant veterinary bills from her emergency care, hospitalization & end-of-life treatment. Any continued support will go directly toward paying off those medical expenses.

Hi, I’m Michelle & this is my baby Paisley.

I’m raising funds to help cover urgent medical care for her.

Paisley recently experienced a medical issue involving dangerously low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) along with elevated liver values. This caused severe lethargy & confusion, requiring immediate veterinary attention, repeat bloodwork & ongoing monitoring to stabilize her condition & determine the underlying cause.

Her care includes:

• Urgent & follow-up veterinary visits

• Repeat bloodwork & glucose monitoring

• Liver function testing & diagnostics

• Medications & supportive treatment

• Possible imaging or additional testing as recommended

The cost of care has added up quickly, & I’ve already maxed out my CareCredit card covering initial testing & treatment. Funds raised will go directly toward Paisley’s continued medical care & stabilization. Any overage will be donated to the local animal shelter.
