Hi! My name is Blue, but my name isn't important. The name that really matters is my cats- her name is Myrtle. She's about 10 years old and she's been with me since she was a kitten, through my college education, the passing of my (grand)parents, and into two moves to new homes. She was just a little stray who followed another cat into my grandma's house while I was back in high school and she was too scared to figure out how to leave so she ended up just becoming our cat and she's been my sweet baby ever since. Needless to say, she's so important to me. She's not just a cat, she's my family.
Myrtle has been sick recently. It started out with some weirdness in her appetite that I initially attributed to typical cat picky-ness after having the same brand of food for months but escalated into an outright rejection of most food I gave her. Long story short, four vet appointments later, we've found out her pancreas is inflamed (likely pancreatitis) and she's hospitalized because even anti-nausea and appetite stimulates can't help her eat the food she clearly wants to eat and that I want to give her.
I'm $5,000+ deep in my credit card, and while I have quite a bit in savings, this is still so much more money than I was ever expecting to spend in less than a week. Myrtle is so important to me, I am happy to do whatever it takes to make sure she is happy and healthy.
Any money earned from this would be used to pay off the $5k I've accrued on my credit card to pay off her vet bills from the past week, with additional expenses going to any future treatment she might need. Thank you for giving this your time.
