Muffin, our 2.5-year-old sweetest fluffy boy, loves sitting between people on the couch or smack in the middle of the game during game nights. He loves playing with his big fur brother Dolcé, and misses human siblings, Rachael and Jordan, who were both away and couldn’t wait to come back to see him.
Normally a glutton, he hadn’t eaten in 2+ days. Professionals put him on fluids and antibiotics after ultrasound and lymph node biopsies, but he still skipped even his favorite treats, which was heartbreaking. Doctors and vet students are working to find the root cause of his high fever while isolation hurt his social soul. Bills mounted fast as a second day and testing was added, praying it’s not cancer, but the diagnosis is still unknown. (Further testing needed to rule out lymphoma but it starts at $500.)
I’m a part-time gym teacher, coach, dance teacher, Zumba instructor. I love what I do, but these are low-paying jobs with no savings set aside for emergencies like this, leaving us struggling. Your support assists our family with Muffin’s bill’s and future treatments—no pressure. A little goes a long way: $25 covers gas from Blackstone to Grafton, $10 helps with extra Sheeba wet food to get him to take his steroids, and every bit helps the giant bill we received plus future treatments.
All funds will go directly toward:
• Muffin’s emergency visit and 2-day hospital stay at Tufts
• Ongoing tests, imaging, and lymph node biopsies
• Medications, fluids, and any follow‑up care he may need
Thank you for reading, for caring about Muffin, and for any support, shares, prayers, or kind thoughts you can offer.
With love and gratitude,
Louis “Muffin,” Dolcé, Kelly, Kristin, Rachael, and Jordan (Blackstone, MA)
