Hi everyone, my name is Monkey, and my family is reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for me.

I may be “just a cat” to some, but to the people who love me or met me, I am family — a constant companion, a source of comfort, and one of the sweetest souls in their home. Watching me suddenly become so sick over the past week has been devastating for them.

What began as concern that I was simply “not myself” quickly turned into urgent veterinary visits and a diagnosis of pancreatitis. Since then, my family has been doing everything they can: medications, supportive care, monitoring, and follow-up treatment in hopes that I would begin to turn a corner.

Unfortunately, despite a full week of treatment, I have shown little to no meaningful improvement.

At this point, the next step is a few hours of intensive veterinary intervention at the hospital in the hope of bringing the inflammation down and giving me a fighting chance to recover. This level of care is urgent, but it also comes with significant cost.

My family is doing everything possible to give me that chance.

If this effort does not produce improvement, they will soon be faced with transitioning from active treatment to a life care and comfort plan — a reality that is heartbreaking even to consider.

Anyone who knows my family knows how loved I am. I have spent my life giving comfort, companionship, and unconditional love to everyone but especially my dad in the last 4 years in NYC, and we don’t give up on each other.

I am humbly asking for help with the mounting veterinary expenses associated with:

* emergency examinations,

* diagnostic testing,

* medications,

* ongoing supportive treatment.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward my medical care and would mean more than they can express.
