I’m reaching out during a really scary and unexpected time for my kitten, Milo. He’s only 8 months old and normally full of energy, always playing, cuddling, and following me around. Earlier this week, everything suddenly changed.

Milo started vomiting on Tuesday, and over the next couple of days, he got progressively worse. He became very lethargic, stopped eating, and began hiding—something that is completely unlike him. I knew something wasn’t right, and I panicked as his condition continued to decline.

By the third day, I rushed him to the emergency vet. After examining him and taking X-rays, the doctors were concerned they saw something that could be a blockage and recommended immediate surgery. It was a terrifying decision, but I wanted to do everything possible to save him.

Thankfully, they didn’t find a blockage during surgery, but Milo was diagnosed with severe gastrointestinal issues—gastroenteritis. While I’m relieved it wasn’t a blockage, he still has a tough recovery ahead and requires ongoing care, medication, and monitoring.

This all happened so quickly and unexpectedly, and the cost of the emergency visit, surgery, and treatment has been overwhelming. I’m asking for help to cover Milo’s medical expenses so I can focus on getting him healthy again.
