In late Winter of 2020, my beautiful Mother Maria was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer stage 4. After several years of intensive medical procedures, dozens of rounds of chemo and countless hospitalizations due to cancer complications -Mom’s battle continues. Momma is a warrior; she went in remission for 6 months in April of 2022. Sadly, that didn’t last very long.

Early October 2023, we received the heartbreaking news that Mom’s cancer is back and now is a terminal as triple negative breast cancer that spread more to her lungs, spine, back of the brain and liver, with a prognosis of "days, weeks or month." Mom has spent a lot of time in the hospital due to cancerous fluid buildup and tumor growth, undergoing numerous procedures to manage her condition. We are devastated and doing everything we can to support her and keep her comfortable in hospice care at her home now.

Maria, my mother is the loving single mother of 4 young ladies, but her love didn't stop there. She took in and helped so many people in need of assistance during her time in good health here on earth. Some of the words to describe her are: Strong, selfless, loving, caring, compassionate, faithful, sensitive, and God-fearing. Mom was willing to help anyone, even when she didn't have much monetarily to give. Momma leaves behind her youngest daughter who is autistic and with other disabilities.
