My dog Lydia is 17 years old. She's survived a pandemic, knee surgery, an emergency splenectomy, and liver torsion, not to mention being my therapy dog (informal).

However, her recent vet visit and her medication and treatment are, frankly, too much for me to handle on my own. She was diagnosed with kidney disease about three years ago, which we have successfully managed for three brilliant years with the help of her amazing internal medicine doctor. During the recent visit to the ER- she was hospitalized over night and - it was discovered she is in the last stages of kidney disease

I'm devastated to say the least.

She requires fluids and a host of medication- I don't like doing this, but we need help.
